Se coucher belongs to the 1st group of French verbs. In English, se coucher means “to lie down”, or “to go to bed”.

  • Futur proche is the equivalent of “going to (do something)” in English
  • Passé récent is the equivalent of “just (did something)” in English

  • Futur imminent is the equivalent of “about to (do something)” in English

Note: you can also use these in the past by conjugating aller, venir, and être in imparfait instead of présent.
